I love the muted colors and the misted over background.
I see it differently and I would have made these changes.
I would have added a bit more contrast (15%) and lowered the brightness (20%) down to a later in the afternoon look. This changes the saturation levels, but I'm fine with them as is.
The cropping I have given some thought to as each new cropping drastically changes the image. 1. cut the left side in about 10% to just left of the tall tree trunk. 2. or bring in the left side 30% to just the left of the leaf branches on the pines. this gives more impact to the right side as you have completely eliminated the lower left side's bright leaves and its distractions.
This is one of those calls easier to make when you have a chance to view each choice. What do you think?
First, I must say that I absolutely love this shot! I really like the contrast between the brilliant reds and oranges and the deep, subtle greens in this. I think that this image is very powerful. The warm colors invite the viewer into the shot and the mist adds a sense of mystery and foreboding as to what could be farther along the path. I like the composition of your shot and how you chose not to center the path in this image. I also enjoy the flow of the bushes and trees in the foreground and how they are higher at the edges of the picture. Visually, this is very interesting and almost captivating. Your work here is fantastic! It was an honor to critique your work! Keep up the great work!
This is beautiful. I really love this photo. I love the color and fog in this picture. It stands out without being offensive to the eye (as in, too bright or out of place). The path if foggy and you can just make out the shapes of the trees, it's very interesting and eye catching. Lovely.
