Placing the path slightly off centre really makes this image. Due to this placement the eyes are drawn to the path directly, creating the sensation of travelling along it. It's great.
After purveying the path however, my eye starts to wander to a large, relatively bright area of the image in the top left corner. That tree that forks out of frame creates some undesirable leading lines that I think are quite distracting. I;d try either cropping it out, or adding a slight vignette around the whole image to trap the viewer's gaze upon the focal point of the path. This would also help with the somewhat less distracting, but still a little pile of dark wood in the lower right.
It's a lovely misty scene, with an eerie quality so prized in these types of forest shots. The colour is great also. I think with an addition of a slight vignette, this would be pretty nifty.
I think this is a beautiful shot. Especially the bluish light that flows over the image. It makes one think of ghosts. I also love how the trees fade into the distance, giving it a mystical quality. And, of course, the symbolic road that trails off into the unknown. This is a very powerful picture, giving the barren qualities of winter to the image.
There could have also been another element to the picture, like another color, animal or object to create contrast.
Overall, this is a very professional picture. I love your photography style. Keep snappin' that camera!
Dude your work is awesome... I always dreamt about getting some advice someone as great as you are! Thanks for faves! I'm flattered even tough it's not that big deal... Still.
