I wouldn't camp here. The atmosphere changes when you think of being here when the sun goes down. Sad would quickly turn to creepy. :)

There are abandoned communities called "ghost towns", where the people have left but the buildings remain. This is like a "ghost forest", where the animals have fled or migrated away, but the trees--barren and mostly lifeless--are left behind: lonely, deserted and forgotten.
